Another very suspicious article. 'Officer John Douglas', what police force? Was this even an LEO or a security guard? Very curious as to why they would not say 'Officer John Doe, of the xyz county sheriffs department.......' and so forth. Normally when you see anything like this the name of the department the officer is attached to would be prominently mentioned, along with comments from a spokes person from that department. Very interesting that all this was left out. They repeatedly claim 'police said', what police? The call was a 'family emergency' so the woman sat there watching the movie while she took the call, and her mother could not hear her??? Ok I know if I am in a theater and get a 'family emergency call' I am certainly going to sit there whispering into the phone so that the people trying to talk to me can't hear me, isn't this normal? Then we have 'Witnesses said the pair did nothing wrong.' To back this up they give the account of one person, who claims they were in the lobby when this happened. Wonder why they did not question any of the employees there? Could it be that they did and got the 'wrong' answers? Be very interesting to see if there is any more of this mentioned in the news. It could really be a case of abuse that is going to cost some local tax payers some money, but my Bull Shit meter is warning me something is wrong here.

But what? The link you posted is the same story. I looked at the net news sources and the same story is repeated in many different sources, but they are all exact copies of the first story. Makes me wonder why, if it is as stated, there has been no reporter bothering to ask the people involved for comment. If it is true, there are certainly plenty of witnesses, it's not like this happened in some dark alley. There has to be literally hundreds of people who were there, so if it's really like the original report would like us to believe the couple will get one hell of a pay day. That's what's really bothering me about this, it supposedly happened at a theater that must have been full, yet nothing but the first report, which seems to be leaving a lot out. This is what has my Bull Shit alarm going off. Hell if it really was some LEO who is an abject idiot, which he would have to be to do this in front of a crowd, I wish it would happen to me. I'm sure I could retire a little early on the settlement. <G>

Yes... of course it's the same story. It would be, if it were a true story. The difference is that the link I posted is to a 'legitimate' television news station website and ends with an AP copyright. I guess if it REALLY bothers you, you could contact either the television station or AP. David
