I've got an old Colteer .22 cal SS that was found lying in the wood about 20 years ago. Decided to disassemble it and clean it up. Got the thing all prettyed up and ready to go back together. I got it all figured out but it has been a year in the doing and I need some help with the trigger spring reassembly. Pleeeeease, has anyone got any idea where to get a close-up enough picture or diagram to tell how it is supposed to set together? Maybe even some kind soul with a digital camera and Colteer (It was worth a try). I will be forever grateful if I can find help getting the trigger back to operating!!

Normally I use this site but they don't show anything close to a Colteer. My book on exploded views of guns show only a Colteer that is a semi-auto tube fed.

I GOT IT!! Rather than concentrating on how it came apart and what it looked like before I decided to take my brain out and use it to figure how it should logically work. Went together like a charm! Nice looking rifle.... check out the firing soon as possible.

Thanks 'Dad' .... see reply to myself above. I just love it when a plan comes together!

(I save the link for future reference)

PS I picked up a nice little 38SP two shot derringer yesterday for peanuts. Took the covers off, rinsed it in solvent, dried it, polished it on the buffer wheel, rinsed it again and a very nice little pocket gun evolved. Fired it a couple of times and made a helluva hole in the board. Passed the test. One more for the collection ;>...... Who is it here that keeps saying 'One more isn't enough?' or something to that effect.

You have just done what I have always suggested to anyone that gets a new weapon... Take it apart.. Fiqure out how it works and what each part does and put it back together. This forces a new owner to become educated in their weapons design and functions. I get asked by people all the time how to do this or that on one gun or another and I am always amazed when I hear they have no idea how the parts inside actually make it go boom.... Guess it just comes with time and always being around weapons of all types...
