A guy I work with says he has one of these thats 98% with however, can't seem to find them on the web anywhere. He wants $400 for it. I trust the guy, known him for some odd years but I've never heard of a Savage 308 lever. Any opinions on this? Thanks

no... its a 1909 something I do know that. its pretty old, I can't remember if it was made in 1909 or not. I'll find out everything tomorrow. thanks.

Probably a Savage Model 99C, with a removable box magazine. I'd start there for research. $400 doesn't sound out of line, depending of course on condition.

Yes, just found out today its an older 99C. He says its atleast 98% and hes gonna bring it into work tomorrow and lemme see it. So, $400 sounds ok depending on condition?
