How can you improve a 5 out of 5 start rating? Skimming the 'reviews' looks like you have people saying 'it's a POS' and people saying 'great buy' and everything in between. If you ask a bunch of people you will get the same response to Glock. I looked at one shortly after they came out, it was a bare bones and sold for about $300.00 next to Springfield or Kimber that were in the $500 range here at that time. It felt and looked 'poorly made'. Now they do look a hell of a lot better these days, and are getting some great reviews by people who have tried them. Dean Speir who never seems to pull any punches if he does not like something bought one and said basically that he was surprised at how well it worked. Many have said the problem ones were well taken care of by the company under warranty. Anyway not sure what the point of your post was as reading the page you listed makes it look like they may be a good choice as a low end 1911.

This one has me wondering if you are reading the site you posted? The link you provide shows a lot of reviews, that I assume are just open for anyone to post. The Daly had a long list of reviews some were 'great' some were 'POS' and some where in the middle so you lost me with 'the review', do you mean you picked out a bad one to believe? I'm NOT trying to recommend a Daly, just wondering what you are reading. As to the 'I've had it with mail order crap' again not sure what you're talking about. You are not going to be mail ordering a pistol. As to mail order you need to know what you are buying. I do a lot of on line buying, but always for something I already know I want. If you are in the market for a pocket knife say, you can find them for a few dollars or a few hundred dollars and everything in between. Now if you buy one that runs a few bucks you would have to expect it will not be much. As far as 1911's go it is a very old design. It 'can' be a great pistol, but if it is not made right it can be a real pain. This does not mean you have to buy a Kimber to get a serviceable pistol, but you also can't really expect a $300.00 1911 to look, feel, and shoot like a $1000.00 1911.

Not sure what your problem is but 7 out of 12 revews were good, for a gun that is only in the $350 that is not bad. For myself I have had my C.D. for just about 5 years having put ~1500 rounds through it. THe only problem I have had with ir were with my own reloads, they were a tad too long. It will feed every thing I have tried with it. Finish is not as good as a Kimber or Bear, but it also did not have as high of a price tag.
